Five Flavors
Latino Village - Al Pastor Tacos
It’s an unwritten rule that whenever you find a Latino bodega that serves authentic Mexican fare, you must try the food. I had probably driven by Latino Village on West Broad hundreds of times before I finally stopped in, but I will definitely return. In the back of the market, you can order Mexican staples such as pupusas, empanadas and, of course, tacos. My favorite taco was the al pastor—served on two corn tortillas with pork, onion, cilantro and avocado, with the traditional pineapple mixed into the tangy sauce. All tacos are $1 on Thursdays.
