Local Tacos Take Off

Local tacos are trending in Richmond. The filled-tortilla specialty comes in many varieties, both authentic styles and creative riffs incorporating Southern flavor.

The thriving food truck scene deserves some credit for the current abundance of delicious tacos, but local eateries are holding their own. Richmond boasts traditional Mexican restaurants, fancier restaurants serving upscale tacos, a handful of trendy taquerias and cantinas for the happy hour crowd, and even a few Latin bodegas that serve more authentic fare.
